A strong shape needs a quiet dial
An octagonal case is already a statement. Put a busy dial inside it and the two fight for attention.
So this dial stays almost empty: black, sunray-brushed, with thin silver batons and three hands. The case and bracelet carry the design, and the dial simply tells the time.

Brushed metal, one piece
The eight-sided bezel is brushed rather than polished, so it looks clean and muted rather than flashy.
The case runs straight into the first link of the bracelet, and the flat links continue the same brushed finish, so the watch reads as one continuous piece.
